I started a website to document the behind the scenes of buying our first fixer upper.

I used my iPhone for pictures and had no expectation of it going anywhere. My goal was to feel connected to the outside (ahem, adult) world since I spent most of my time negotiating with a toddler to just please take one bite.

Fast forward years later and that little idea of a blog has turned into a business and one that I love at that!

Somehow in my experience, I began finding myself in lots of conversations answering questions about starting blogs, how to do this or that, and then it happened – someone asked if they could hire me to help them with their site.

The rest is history….

I’m surprisingly good at the behind the scenes lame tasks many creatives don’t like doing. I like the menial things behind the scenes that can make a huge impact to your audience and viewers.

I still run my own blog. I stay up to date with trends, new changes and invest in continued learning for myself. Being in the creative field like you, here’s why you can trust me:

Authenticity: My writing style on my own site is exactly how I talk in real life. What you see is what you get and my audience appreciates that and has learned I can be trusted.
Ownership: I know what it's like to own a blog as a business. Finding someone to love your blog like you do is like finding quality childcare. I will be your blog's super nanny!
Investment: I invest in products and services to help me do things the right way. I take courses, I am part of private mentor groups, and I attend conferences to learn the tools of the trade. I don't know everything, but what I don't know I invest time and money into learning!
Wicked funny: Okay, so maybe this doesn't have a ton to do with business, but listen, you gotta like who you're working with. I take my business seriously, but I'm pretty funny and hope that helps us have a great working relationship.
